Modern Indian School, Kathmandu
EDI helmed an interior design project for Modern Indian School in Kathmandu, Nepal. Spread over 80,000 sq. ft., this G+3 building is designed to lend a vibrant approach to the learning experience of students in grades 1 to 12. Various zones in the building are defined by distinctive flooring patterns and colors, varying from sober olive greens to plain white. The reception area follows color schemes ranging from red to grey, while light-colored walls in the classrooms enhance the quality of natural light. Furniture spaces, too, can be creatively transformed for lectures, collaborative learning and group sessions alike. Furthermore, an intriguing double-height wall is designed to be used as a glossary for students’ achievements.
