In a beautiful green campus in Bangalore, Strate School of Design seamlessly blends nature with the architecture. For this, EDI took a clean, simple and minimalist design approach not only in the buildings but also in materials. Academic and hostel buildings, both are planned as PEB structures. Exposed porotherm blocks further add an earthy feel to the space. Workshop for automobile design is placed on the ground level while classrooms are placed on the above levels. A gathering stair at the entrance provides not only a presentation space but also serves as a gallery for student exhibits. Furthermore, the hostel rooms are designed to provide a very homely atmosphere. Hostel building faces the rain tree, which forms a nice backdrop for the building and for students to use outdoors for learning activities.

In a brilliant display of eco awareness and responsibility, EDI saved the existing fruit trees around the buildings during the construction. Other challenges like a high water table on site were overcome too, thus strengthening the trust of authorities in EDI further.
